From Border Czar Tom Homan:
“This morning I was on the ground with the ICE Air Operations team in Alexandria, Louisiana, to observe and assess removal operations.”
Homan said the first flight he observed was carrying Haitian nationals being returned to Haiti, including individuals with criminal records involving alleged or convicted offenses such as aggravated assault, sexual assault, kidnapping and battery, among other crimes.
Homan also delivered a message to those whose Temporary Protected Status (TPS) has expired or who are otherwise unlawfully present in the United States:
“Temporary means TEMPORARY.”
He urged individuals who are no longer lawfully authorized to remain in the country to take advantage of the administration’s voluntary departure program and return to their home countries.
Otherwise, Homan said, “we WILL arrest and deport you.”

HOMAN SAYS ICE IS ACCELERATING REMOVALS
According to Homan, ICE reached a record for the most deportations in a single day since President Trump returned to office.
He also said that while FY2026 figures are still being finalized, the previous month recorded more ICE removals than any other month, while monthly ICE arrest totals and DHS-recorded self-departures have also increased since June.
Homan described the administration’s approach as:
“Deportation-maxxing.”
His message: ICE is operating at full capacity while expanding its ability to increase removals even further.
The administration says the goal is to fulfill President Trump’s immigration-enforcement agenda, restore law and order, enhance public safety and strengthen American economic prosperity.

The Trump administration is making immigration enforcement and removals a central priority—and ICE says the pace of enforcement is only increasing.
